How Will Applications Be Assessed?

For whatever type of funding or grant you are planning to apply for, you will be required to complete an application form and prepare a Project Statement with details of financial projections.

Applicants for Matching/Repayable Grant will also have to include a Conservation Statement prepared by an appropriately qualified and accredited professional adviser.

The following criteria will be used to help assess and prioritise applications:-

  • Catalytic effect towards a sustainable city
  • Contribution to George Town’s OUVs
  • Public realm work of historic significance
  • Improvements to economic and social conditions
  • Overall financial viability
  • Financial need for grant demonstrated
  • Encouragement of intercultural networking
  • Documentation
  • Sustainability of development

All applications would be reviewed by the Management & Advisory Panel before being assessed and approved by the TC Board, as per illustration below:
