The final report on the George Town Urban Market Survey for Chowrasta and Campbell street markets by Badan Warisan Heritage is now available for download. The report was commissioned by the Penang Island Municipal Council (MPPP).

Announcement of the 5th Round of the GTGP projects
Think City Sdn Bhd ("Think City") has approved 28 grants worth RM1,680,393 under the fifth round of the George Town Grants Programme ("GTGP"). Out of the total 28 projects, 16 are physical conservation and restoration projects, of which ten are located in the core zone of the World Heritage Site and six in the buffer zone. There are also five technical grants and seven cultural mapping initiatives.

The HIP Project (Heritage In Penang) aspires to instill a spark in youth to take a greater interest in the cultural assets that are evident in their environment. The campaign is organized by Arts-ED (Community-based Arts and Culture Education Program) and supported by Think City. |
